YORK COUNTY, SC – On May 11, 2018 York County Sheriff’s Detectives charged, Michael Patrick Donovan, 28, and Christopher Wayne Wright, 31, with Murder, Attempted Murder, Possession of Weapon During the Commission of a Violent Crime and Criminal Conspiracy, in connection to the homicide investigation on May 9, 2018, on Farlow Street in Rock Hill. Wright also has a drug charge for attempting to purchase heroin.
On May 9, 2018, at approximately 10:00 PM, YCSO Deputies were called out near the intersection of Farlow Street and Cranford Street in Rock Hill for a shooting. One female victim was found deceased and a male victim also suffering from a gunshot wound. Christopher Wright and a third suspect Lori Beth Marrs were taken into custody shortly after the investigation began.
Michael Donavan was taken in to custody May 10 2018, at a home off of Turkey Creek Ridge Road in York, SC.
Donavan and Wright are being held at the York County Detention Center. Marrs is currently charged with attempting to purchase heroin.
This is the third homicide in York County Sheriff’s jurisdiction for 2018.
