YORK COUNTY, SC – York County Sheriff’s Detectives are investigating the sixth and seventh homicide in York County for 2022. On Sept. 27 at 11:30 p.m. Deputies were called to a home on Saddle Bridge Road in Fort Mill for a well-being check. A 71-year-old female and a 40-year-old male were found deceased in the home from what appeared to be gunshot wounds. The woman and man were related to each other.
Currently, no suspects are in custody and no motive has been determined. Investigators do believe this is not a random act of violence.
