YORK COUNTY, SC - Two Clover men have been arrested and charged in connection to a fatal shooting of a man Wednesday, July 7, 2021, on Twin Streams Lane in Clover, SC.

Both Derek Jason Brown, 30, and Michael Eugene Davis, 47, are charged with murder and possession of a weapon during a violent crime, according to arrest warrants. 

Through reviewing evidence and interviewing those involved detectives concluded Brown and Davis were responsible for shooting a man in a tractor-trailer container on a property near Twin Streams Lane. It is believed the shooting occurred after an argument between those involved.

The victim was identified as 36-year-old Steven Kyle Faris according to York County Coroner Sabrina Gast.

Detectives arrested Brown Thursday, July 8th during a traffic stop in the Clover area. Davis was located and arrested at a hotel in York, SC the same day.  

Brown and Davis are being held at the York County Detention Center without bond, and additional charges may be pending.
