[ARCHIVED] Twin Streams Lane Homicide Investigation

YORK COUNTY, SC -  Two Clover men have been arrested in connection to a fatal shooting of a man Wednesday on Twin Streams Lane in Clover.

Both Derek Jason Brown, 30, and Michael Davis, AGE, are charged with murder and possession of a weapon during a violent crime, according to arrest warrants. 

Through reviewing evidence and interviewing those involved detectives concluded Brown and Davis were responsible for shooting a man in a tractor-trailer container on a property near Twin Streams Lane. It is believed the shooting occurred after an argument between those involved.

The victim was identified as 36-year-old Steven Kyle Faris according to York County Coroner Sabrina Gast.

Detectives arrested Brown Wednesday shortly after Steven Faris was found deceased during a traffic stop in the Clover area. Davis was located and arrested at a hotel in York the same day.  

Brown and Davis are being held at the York County Detention Center without bond, and additional charges may be pending. 




York County Detectives charge two Rock Hill men with murder and possession of a weapon during a violent crime after a July 7,2021 murder in. 

On Wednesday, July 7, 2021, the York County Sheriff’s Office responded to a suspicious person call in the area of Twin Streams Lane, Clover, SC.  The initial investigation led to discovering a deceased male on a property in this area.  Through the investigation, the York County Sheriff’s Office has identified two people responsible for the victim’s death and have them in custody.  The case investigation is still ongoing and the names of the suspect(s) will be released in a timely manner.  The identification of the victim will be released by the Coroner’s Office after family notifications.
