YORK COUNTY, SC - Each year local Optimist Clubs recognize York County law enforcement officers during the Optimist Club Respect for Law program. Sheriff Kevin Tolson congratulates Corporal Zachery Norris who received recognition as Rock Hill Optimist Club Officer of the Year.
Recognition for the award comes as a result of Corporal Norris’ reliability and willingness to step up to cover special assignments within the Rock Hill district. In addition, Norris has been a consistent leader on making narcotics related cases.
“His dedication to his job, his excellence as far as his work ethic, and training, made him my number one pick for this award,” said Lt. David Frye, Cpl. Norris District Commander.
Cpl. Norris received the officer of the year distinction on June 15, 2021 at a special ceremony at the Moss Justice Center with President of the Rock Hill Optimist Club David Angel presenting. Norris has worked for the York County Sheriff’s Office for 9-years.
