[ARCHIVED] YCSO Deputies Locate Silver Alert Missing Person from Spartanburg County

YORK COUNTY, SC – On Wednesday, September 16, 2020, the Spartanburg Sheriff’s Office in cooperation with the State Law Enforcement Division issued a Silver Alert for a 75-year-old man missing from Inman, SC suffering from dementia.  The Sliver Alert went out to all law enforcement agencies in South Carolina

At 5:40 A.M. of September 17, 2020, York County Deputies spotted a car stopped in the middle of Turkey Creek Road in York matching the description of the missing person’s car.  Deputies spoke with the person and discovered he was the missing person out of Spartanburg County.  

The man had traveled approximate 63 miles from where he was last seen.  The family was notified and a Deputy sat with him until his family traveled from Spartanburg to get him.
