Six Hells Angels arrested after attacking a person over a t-shirt, territory

YORK COUNTY, SC (YCSO NEWS) – York County Detectives have arrested and charged six Hell’s Angels Motorcycle Gang members for Strong Arm Robbery and Criminal Conspiracy. The charges stem from a June 11, 2020 incident at Bear’s Den Bar off Highway 161, Clover, SC.

The following members and prospects of the Hell’s Angels Motorcycle Gang were arrested and charged:

  • Robert Lynn Hanna, 49, Catawba, SC - President Rock Hill Chapter of the Hell’s Angels
  • Michael Dennis Kidd, 42, Catawba, SC
  • Thomas Martinsen, 41, Catawba, SC
  • Crawford James Prevatte, 56, Goose Creek, SC
  • Anthony Raymond Briggs, 28, Goose Creek, SC
  • Lawrence Christopher Zealy, 42, Hanahan, SC

On June 11th the six men arrived at the Bear’s Den bar in Clover. While in the parking lot, the owner of the bar asked the group to leave. The group attempted to enter the closed establishment from what witnesses’ state as an attempt to entice a fight with several Outlaw Motorcycle Gang members at the same location.

When a member of support motorcycle club for the Outlaw Motorcycle Gang arrived in a car, the Hells Angels members and prospects walked towards the vehicle. As he exited the vehicle wearing an Outlaws supporter t-shirt, he was attacked by the group of six and the t-shirt was ripped off.

It’s believed the six men coordinated and planned the attack as a part of an intimidation tactic over presumed territory.

The six men left the area before Deputies arrived. After an investigation the people involved were identified and subsequently charged.
