[ARCHIVED] Detectives Investigate a Murder on Quaint Road in Catawba

YORK COUNTY, SC (YCSO NEWS) York County Sheriff’s Detectives are investigating a homicide on Quaint Rd. off Hall Spencer Rd. in the Catawba community southeast of  Rock Hill, SC.  Just before 4:30 PM Deputies responded to the 3100 block of Quaint Road for a shooting.

The first arriving deputy discovered one male shooting victim deceased.  Immediately, deputies and detectives questioned witnesses. York County Sheriff’s K-9 unit searched the area for possible suspects.

Detectives determined Corey Jermaine Troupe as a suspect in the shooting. At the time of this release Troupe has not been apprehended. Corey J. Troupe is a black male, 49-years-old, 5 feet 11 inches tall, with tattoos on his left arm.

Detectives believe Troupe is no longer in the area and there is no danger to the public.

The name and age of the victim won’t be released until all next of kin has been notified by the York County Coroner’s Office.
