YORK COUNTY, SC (YCSO NEWS) – Beginning March 9, 2020 the new public entrance at the Moss Justice Center will be open for the general public. Anyone entering the Moss Justice Center to reach the York County Sheriff’s Office, Detention Center, 16th Circuit Solicitor, Public Defender, or Clerk of Court must enter through the main entrance. This new security entrance will be the only public entrance into the facility.
Through the new public entrance, the general public must walk through the metal detector and any hand-carried articles must pass through an x-ray machine.
Additionally, parking in the traffic circle in front of Moss Justice Center will be prohibited and any violators may be towed. A parking spot in the traffic circle will be marked and reserved for a designated York County Sheriff’s Office patrol vehicle. A loading and unloading zone will also be marked and the remainder of the traffic circle will be reserved for emergency access.
The public is asked to park in the various designated parking areas. The parking deck is for employees only and not for the general public.
