[ARCHIVED] Code Enforcement Unit seeks assistance in possible animal fighting case

YORK COUNTY, SC (YCSO NEWS) – On January 28, 2020 a pit bull terrier was found abandoned with severe injuries on the dirt road portion of Ratchford Road in York, South Carolina.  York County Animal Control took the dog who was suffering from severe bite wounds to the head, neck and body to an emergency veterinarian for surgery.  The pit bull is in stable condition, and placed in foster care during his recovery.

The York County Code Enforcement Unit which investigates alleged animal fighting cases is seeking the public’s assistance in generating information about this possible dog fighting case.  If anyone has any information or any suspicions of animal fighting anywhere in York County, please call anonymously to Crime Stoppers of York County 1-877-409-4321 or online tips to be submitted to CRIME STOPPERS.
