CLOVER, SC (YCSO NEWS) - During the week of December 1st – 5th, 2019 the York County Sheriff’s Office is hosting the Police Bloodhound Handlers Winter Seminar at Kings Mountain State Park located near Clover, South Carolina.

More than 20 different agencies from across North and South Carolina, as well as K-9 handlers from Virginia, West Virginia, Indiana, Alabama, Georgia and Florida will be in attendance for the training.

The training seminar is structured for beginner to advanced tracking bloodhounds. Throughout the week, training will be conducted in wooded, residential and town areas mainly on the west side of York County. There will be bloodhound handlers in the areas of York, Clover and Kings Mountain. The seminar will conclude Thursday, December 5th, 2019.

During this time citizens in York County, mainly around the Kings Mountain, Clover and York areas, may see bloodhound teams in training.
