YORK COUNTY, SC (YCSO NEWS) - Just before 3:30 PM York County 9-1-1 received a phone call from Charlotte Mecklenburg Police dispatch about a subject who claimed to have harmed his girlfriend and was going to set fire to a home on Galway Lane in Clover. York County Deputies and SWAT Team were dispatched to the area.
After short investigation with the assistance of the York County Sheriff’s Office and Charlotte Mecklenburg Police Criminal Intelligence units, it was determined the call was false.
Within an hour the area around Galway Lane was secured, and local traffic was allowed to return to the area.
Detectives are investigating the incident.
