UPDATE: York County Deputies arrest Anthonio Latoranodo Orr, 49, in regards to the suspected dog fighting case on June 20, 2019. Orr was served with 75 warrants of animal fighting or baiting act penalty, ill treatment of animals, violation of county ordinance, trafficking ice crack cocaine, weapons violations, and other drug violations.
Orr is being held in the York County Detention Center on a $150,225 bond.

YORK COUNTY, SC (YCSO NEWS) The York County Sheriff’s Office Code Enforcement Unit seizes 42 pit bull dogs after discovering evidence of possible dog fighting in the McConnells community.
On June 20, 2019 York County Sheriff Code Enforcement Deputies were investigating an ongoing issue violating the York County animal restraining requirements ordinance near the 1300 block of McConnells Highway. During that investigation, Deputies discovered numerous pit bulls chained to car axles buried in the ground. Deputies also discovered evidence of potential dog fighting.
Deputies obtained a search warrant in reference to animal fighting for the property, which allows deputies to seize the 42 dogs.
“This is a good example of Animal Control and the York County Sheriff’s Office working together to protect our community and animals,” said Sheriff Kevin Tolson.
