- Deputies Jordan Brown and Michael Buie - Deputies Brown and Buie are to be commended for their actions on January 4th when they made entry into a smoke-filled home to search for injured or incapacitated occupants.  After multiple entries into the home, these deputies were able to extinguish the source of the smoke and conduct a complete search of the residence.  While there were no people inside of the residence that required assistance, Deputies Brown and Buie found a dog inside of the smoke filled home and they were able to coax the animal outside to safety. Deputies Brown and Buie put their own physical health at risk in order to prevent loss of life and property and are to be commended for these actions.

- Deputy Tim Davidson - Deputy Davidson is to be commended for his outstanding investigation that led to the arrest of two suspects for various property crimes.  Operating from an anonymous tip that an individual dropped off a stolen car to a specific residence, Deputy Davidson located the individual and conducted a traffic stop.  Although Deputy Davidson was not able to gather enough evidence to detain the suspect during the traffic stop, he did not let the investigation go.  Deputy Davidson went to the location described in the tip and gained permission from occupants at the residence to check the tag and VIN on the possible stolen vehicle.  While the vehicle was not reported as stolen at that time, Deputy Davidson continued the investigation by communicating with York PD and he was able to determine that the vehicle had been stolen during a burglary the previous night.  Due this thorough investigation, Deputy Davidson was able to return the stolen vehicle and arrest two individuals, both of whom had property crime convictions, for the theft of the vehicle.

- Deputy Lydia Dodson - Deputy Dodson is to be commended for her attempt to save a man’s life when she was dispatched to assist EMS with a patient that was non-responsive and not breathing.  When Deputy Dodson arrived on scene, she located a man slumped over in a bathroom in a pool of vomit.  She was able to maneuver the man to the ground and began sternum rubs in an attempt to elicit some type of response.  EMS arrived shortly afterward and began CPR.  Deputy Dodson continued to assist and took turns giving chest compressions.  While these life saving measures were not enough to re-situate the patient, Deputy Dodson is to be commended for her gallant attempt to save the life of another.
