[ARCHIVED] Metal Permitting Station to Temporarily Move

YORK COUNTY, SC – Due to continuing building renovations at the Moss Justice Center in York, South Carolina, beginning Friday March 8, 2019 the Metal Permitting Station will close at 4:30 PM.

On Monday March 11, 2019 the metal permit station to transport and sell nonferrous metals will be temporally moved to the York County Sheriff’s Office District Three Office in Rock Hill.

Hours for issuing metal permits will be Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM and 1:00 PM – 5:00 PM.  

Citizens wishing to be issued a metal permits will need to bring a valid South Carolina driver’s license or identification card and vehicle registration information.

The South Carolina state statute on transporting of metal can be found via the South Carolina Code of Laws website.
