YORK COUNTY, SC – The website for the York County Sheriff’s Office has a fresh new look with many new features.  The site, www.yorkcountysheriff.com is built on a new powerful, efficient and user-friendly content management system through CivicPlus®, an integrated technology platform for local governments.

The new website project was led by York County Government Public Information Officer Trish Startup and YCSO PIO Trent Faris. The new website features a modern look that provides easy-to-use navigation so York County citizens can search for information they need about the York County Sheriff’s Office with greater ease.

“The new website was created to give the citizens we serve another communication tool and resource that describes all of the services the York County Sheriff’s Office provides,” said Sheriff Kevin Tolson.

Residents will find the new website makes it easy to stay up-to-date on information regarding the Sheriff’s Office. Citizens are encouraged to click on the “Notify Me” button on the main page and sign up to receive email and text message alerts directly from the Sheriff’s Office.  All citizens need to do is submit an email address and/or mobile phone number to get important Sheriff’s Office information sent to them directly.

The new website features a responsive design which allows website visitors the optimum experience via tablet, phones, and other devices. It can take up to 48-hours for the new website to populate, depending on the website visitors’ internet service provider. Most visitors will access the new website within a couple of hours.
