Public Information and Community Relations

Public Information Officer

The Public Information Unit strives to provide timely and accurate information to the citizens of York County through our website and social media platforms. The goal of the PIO is to educate and inform the public and agency stakeholders to improve the community’s safety or response to a given risk or emergency.

The Sheriff's Office recognizes that the public depends on the traditional news media to gather and disseminate information. The York County Sheriff's Office views the news media and digital media as avenues in which to get the right information to the citizens of York County at exactly the right time in order for citizens to make informed decisions about their personal safety.

Community Relations Officer

The Community Relations Officer is dedicated to fostering a strong and trusting bond between law enforcement and the community. Through proactive community engagement, dynamic events, and informative education initiatives, we strive to build bridges of understanding, promote transparency, and enhance public safety. Our commitment extends beyond traditional law enforcement, ensuring a collaborative and supportive environment where the community and law enforcement work together for the well-being of all.
