YORK COUNTY, SC – On April 1, 2014, Detectives with the York County Sheriff’s Office, in coordination with Investigators with the South Carolina Secretary of State Office, arrested two people who were selling counterfeit designer purses, hand bags and wallets from a flea market in Fort Mill, SC. The suspects, Andoh Agyemang, (DOB: 12-4-1972) and Josephine Sayma Keah (DOB: 2-12-1979) both of Charlotte, NC, are charged with Trademarks/Trafficking in counterfeit marks, goods or services valued at $50,000 or more.
On March 31, 2014, Detectives seized 97 different bags falsely using brand names of Louis Vuitton, Michael Kors, Coach, Gucci, Chanel and Hermes. The retail price for some bags, if not counterfeit, would have been valued from $250 to $2,000.
