
The body found on Robinson Road in Clover, South Carolina, on Thursday, October 29, 2009, has been identified as Heather Marie Catterton, age 17, of 2402 South York Road in Gastonia, North Carolina.
In an effort to get assistance from the pubic in identifying the body, on Friday, October 30, 2009, authorities released photographs of clothing and jewelry found on the body, as well as photographs of additional clothing found in the vicinity of the body.
On Saturday, October 31, 2009, authorities received information from a telephone call that assisted them in identifying the body. Identification was made based on fingerprints.
Investigators with the York County Sheriff's Office would like to speak with anyone who may have information about Heather Marie Catterton’s whereabouts and activities from October 18 through October 28, 2009.
Investigators would also like to speak with anyone who may have information regarding these vehicles:
§ Ford F-150 truck, (newer model), red in color, with tinted windows and a flat liner bed cover (described as a clean truck).
This truck was seen in the area of Robinson Road between 12:00 p.m. and 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 27, 2009. There was a white male driver and a white female passenger.
§ Chevrolet S-10 truck, two toned, with a blue top and a tan bottom, possibly a 1987 to 1990 model (the paint was described as a possible custom paint job).
This truck was seen in the area of Robinson Road on Sunday, October 25, 2009 or Monday, October 26, 2009, between 9:00 p.m. and 10:00 p.m.
The clothing that was located in the vicinity of the body was found at the South Crowder’s Creek Bride on Crowder’s Creek Road. Investigators are seeking any information regarding suspicious activity near this area.
