The Detention Division has selected Alan B. Humphries as Employee of the Month for March, 2010. Officer Humphries has worked for the York County Sheriff’s Office, Detention Division since March of 2009, and is assigned to the Transportation Team.
Officer Humphries is often called upon to complete transports lasting ten to twelve hours. He never complains about his assignment and faces all of his duties with enthusiasm. Recently, when he was returning from a transport he assisted a civilian motorist who was stranded.
When not transporting outside of the facility, Officer Humphries assists in the booking area, and the Classification Office. Officer Humphries is also assigned to the movement of inmates within the facility to various medical appointments, and assists with extra duties within the Medical Unit.
Most recently, Officer Humphries has been assigned to assist with the intake and release of ICE detainees. He approaches all tasks with a positive and professional attitude.
Officer Humphries’ work ethic and excellent service to the Detention Division make him a great asset.
